Dark mode is one of the more popular features of OS X Yosemite, because it allows you to add a dark tint to both the dock and the menu bar on Mac. The standard way to enable dark mode involves venturing to System Preferences, opening the General section, and clicking on the enable dark mode option. But wouldn’t it be cool if you could toggle dark mode using a simple keyboard shortcut?

Apple highlighting indie game sales in featured App Store section

Apple is currently highlighting several indie game sales in a new featured App Store section called ‘Amazing Indie Games.’ Users can find the section by visiting the ‘Featured’ section of the App Store and tapping on the banner image you see above.

All of the games listed in the section are made by independent developers (an individual or small team), and are being discounted by at least 50% for a limited time. Titles include Space Age: A Cosmic Adventure, Battleheart Legacy, Rules! and more…. Read the rest of this post here

Google on Friday submitted a proposal for a new campus to Mountain View’s outgoing City Council and boy does the new building look spectacular. Renderings of the project, shared with the public, reveal the scope of Google’s ambitiously conceived new project.

BGR: iOS 8.2 launching next Monday

Apple is shooting to release iOS 8.2 for public consumption next Monday, March 2, 2015, “or the following week at the absolute latest,” according to BGR editor Jonathan Geller who spoke to sources in the know.

March 2 is a Monday, an unusual day for an iOS software update, but so is March 9 when Apple’s “Spring Forward” media event is due, at which it’s expected to talk Apple Watch specifics.

Moreover, as many as four betas of iOS 8.3 could be issued before that software update is ready for public release, the BGR founder and editor has learned. He mentioned earlier in the month that iOS 8.2 would be arriving some time in March, but didn’t provide a timeframe…. Read the rest of this post here

Tim Cook to deliver commencement address at George Washington University

Apple CEO Tim Cook will deliver George Washington University’s commencement address at the school’s graduation ceremony, the university announced on Wednesday. The ceremony takes place on May 17, at the prestigious ‘National Mall’ national park in downtown Washington, D.C.
