Apple’s ‘iPhone’ trademark is being challenged in India

Tamil Nadu-based company iVoice Enterprise is moving forward with its challenge to Apple’s ‘iPhone’ trademark in India, reports PatentlyApple. The firm has asked the country’s Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB) to remove the trademark from their registry.

The initial complaint, known officially as a “rectification petition,” was filed on October 20, and many figured it would be immediately tossed out. Trent Reznor talks new role at Apple in Billboard interview

Adding to the stack of Apple executive interviews we’ve seen in recent weeks, Billboard has published an article with Beats’ Trent Reznor today, where he discusses his new role in Cupertino and what he’s been working on.

Verizon increasing monthly data allotments on some More Everything plans starting tomorrow

Just hours after rival AT&T promised to give Mobile Share Value subscribers more data for their money, Verizon Wireless, the nation’s leading mobile operator, replicated AT&T’s move Friday by increasing monthly data allotments on its $80 and $100 More Everything service plans.

Another day, another high-profile app receives its iPhone 6 focused update. After Apple optimized the WWDC app for the bigger iPhone screens, the Internet giant Google on Friday refreshed its Play Music iOS client with native display support for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus screens. The refreshed application has additionally squashed several bugs and introduced “lots of little tweaks”.

Shared AT&T plans get more LTE data, unlimited international messaging for no additional cost

The nation’s second-largest carrier, AT&T, said on Friday that it will be increasing monthly data allotments for two of its Mobile Share Value plans.

Beginning Sunday, November 2, Mobile Share Value customers will get three gigabytes of high-speed 4G LTE data for $40 a month instead of two gigabytes.

In addition, customers on a pricer tier will be treated  to six gigabytes for $70 a month instead of four gigabytes like before.

Furthermore, all Mobile Share Value plans now get unlimited international messaging for text, picture and video for no additional cost…. Read the rest of this post here

Following the major 7.0 release earlier this month, Skype today pushed out a new version of its Mac client. Labeled as build 7.1, the update brings about full support for the just-released OS X Yosemite, as well as a number of bug fixes and improvements.
